
Students, both in Konstanz, at Ravensburg and at Weingarten may use the means of the local transport at more reasonable prices. They can buy the so-called Studi-Tickets.
Students in Konstanz:
If you want to use the
local transport in Konstanz the Studi-Ticket of the „Stadtwerke“ suits
best.
This type of ticket is valid for students of the University and the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz. Students from abroad receive a confirmation with which they can also buy this ticket. The Studi-Ticket is valid for one term (6 months) and you may travel as much as you like with the busses and ferries of the Stadtwerke Konstanz GmbH.
You may use all bus lines, apart from the night line „Nachtschwärmer" (the night line bus has to be paid extra, students pay € 2.50) and the ferry boat between Konstanz and Meersburg (paedestrians only but with your bicycle), local train “Seehas” between Konstanz and Wollmatingen)
Costs:
The costs amount to € 37.00 for the ticket plus €
9.70 € for the basic allowance included in the Sozialbeitrag, a contribution
which every student has to pay before the term starts.
Students are allowed to use the local transport without Studi-Ticket for
free daily from 7 p.m. till the end (at the latest – busses 1 a.m., ferries 4.30
a.m.). They need to show their students’ card and their immatriculation
document.
The Studi-Ticket is only valid, if
•
the immatrikulation number is filled in
• the sticker for the term is on
it.
Travelling without
Studi-Ticket:
„Schwarzfahren" (dodge paying the fare) costs € 40.
Checks are especially carried out at the beginning or at the end of the term
when the students leave the bus at the University.
Where can I buy
the ticket?
If you have a term-card of all institutions of higher education
in Konstanz you may buy the ticket at the Seezeit Shop in the entrance area of
the university.
Apart from that at the following kiosks:

Students at
Ravensburg-Weingarten:
There are Studi-Tickets for Students
of the University of Education (Pädagogischen Hochschule Weingarten) as well as
the Fachhochschule(University of Applied Sciences) Ravensburg-Weingarten. For
Students of the University of Cooperative Education (Berufsakademie Ravensburg)
this ticket is not usable as the students’ representatives voted against
it.
The tickets can be used for any rides within the region and
within the given time limit.
(FH: 1st March - 31st August and 01st September – 29th February)
(PH: 1st
April – 30th September and 01st October – 31st March)
Area of application:
The Studi-Tickets are allowed to be
used throughout the whole bodo-network, i.e. the districts (Landkreise) of
Ravensburg and Bodenseekreis. All bus lines and trains (2nd class can be used)
apart from distance trains of DB AG. The loacl train BOB “Geißbockbahn” also
belongs to this network.
The owner of
such a ticket is allowed to take up to four children below the age of six
–free.
Costs:
The Studi-Ticket students of FH or PH
Weingarten costs € 73,00 € plus €15,00 € for a kind of social contribution
‚Solidarbeitrag’ (every student enrolled into one of the Institutions of Higher
Learning automatically pays a contribution to Studi-Ticket by the fee he or she
pays for continuing their studies. This contribution enables all students those
of FH/PH Weingarten as well to use the local traffic for free at the following
times:
Mon - Fri from 7 p.m.
Sat
from 5 p.m.
Sundays and on holidays the whole day.
You only need
your student card and your personal identy card to buy it.
The Studi-Ticket
is valid until 12 o’clock of the first day of the following month.
It can
neither be used by another person nor can it be replaced.
The
Studi-Ticket is only accepted when signed by the holder and togehter with the
student card and your personal identy card.

Monthly ticket for pupils:
For travelling
on local trains and busses between Konstanz, Radolfzell and Singen you should
make use of a monthly ticket for pupils – it is the best way.
Don’t be confused by the word ‚monthly ticket for pupils’. Students from Konstanz may use this ticket, too. In addition to it you must have a valid and completely filled-in basic ticket (you can buy it at the ticket counter at the railway station in Konstanz, Singen and Radolfzell) with you.
Monthly tickets for pupils must inextinguishably be signed by the holder. Is it a magnetic card you ought to have the receipt with you (from transport companies, such as SüdbadenBus GmbH, Stadtwerke Radolfzell GmbH and Stadtwerke Singen)
During weekends and in the evenings (i.e. during the leisure times) you can
also use the VHB-Schüler-Monats-Ticket within three other districts
(Verkehrsverbünde VSB, VVR und TuTicket) and you need not pay extra for
it.
You are allowed to use this ticket during the following periods:
• from Monday to Friday from14.00p.m until closing time
• on
Saturdays, Sundays and on holidays – the whole day
• during holidays in
Baden-Wurttemberg – the whole day
• on non-fixed holidays from 14.00
p.m.
